Thurston Moore, Raajmahal Added to Spy Fest Lineup + New Sponsors Announced

With just one week until opening day, we’re super excited to announce the additions of the Raajamahal (the collaboration between Pat Murano of No Neck Blues Band and Decimus, Carla Backer from Baba Yaga, and Santa Wolanczyk from Flower Orgy) at Death By Audio on July 13th and a first ever duo set of Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) and Loren Connors (Haunted House) at The Stone on July 14th.

In addition we’ve added four new sponsors to the fest. The radio stations WKCR

and WNYU

have come on board to offer a slew of coverage ranging from ticket giveaways, interviews, and on-air performances over the next few weeks. A couple of our manufacturing partners have also stepped up to help raise money for the events by donating merch. EKS Manufacturing

out of our very own Brooklyn neighborhood is donating 500 special edition violet-colored vinyl 45s which will feature some never-before-heard studio tracks from Loren Connors and vocalist Suzanne Langille. National Audio Company

out of Springfield, Missouri has also donated 500 custom cassette tapes which will feature eight festival artist tracks. Both titles will be sold exclusively at the fest venues. Release details to be announced next week!
