Jooklo Duo Perform at Cafe Oto in the UK TONIGHT!

If you are in the UK, check out the mighty Jooklo Duo tonight (Monday, March 14th) at Cafe OTO.
Monday 14 March 2011
Doors: 8pm
Tickets: £6 advance / £7 on the door
Formed in 2004, Jooklo Duo is the hard-hitting tenor sax/drums duo of Virginia Genta and David Vanzan.
In the past six years of restless activity, the couple has toured the US and Europe extensively, performing around five-hundred concerts. Jooklo Duo have collaborated with Sonic Youth, Makoto Kawabata, Sabu Toyozumi, Chris Corsano, Paul Flaherty, Daniel Carter, Bill Nace, and many others.
In 2009, they also began working with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, performing on October 2010 for “Nearly Ninety” at the Barbican Centre in London, together with Takehisa Kosugi (Taj Mahal Travellers) and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin). Now they’re back, stripped right back to the pure skronking duo and hit Cafe OTO as part of a tour wreaking havoc across the British Isles
