Extra Life Announces Sprawling US Tour For July, Releases New Free Track
Charlie Looker, Caley Monahon-Ward and Nick Podgurski, collectively known as Extra Life, will be embarking on a month-long US tour this July, making their way through the South, Southwest, up the West Coast, and back across the northern US via Chicago, Toronto, and finally back to Brooklyn. The band just returned from a two month tour of Europe and is riding high on critical acclaim from Stereogum, Vice and The Village Voice for their new record Dream Seeds on Northern Spy. Their live show is sick and they’ll be going on a short hiatus after this stint so this could be your last chance to catch them for a while. Don’t miss them!
The band is also releasing another free track from Dream Seeds to publicize the tour. The track “Discipline For Edwin” tells a harrowing tale of domestic abuse through guitars brimming with nervous energy and synth tones seemingly conjured from A Nightmare on Elm Street.
