Diamond Terrifier Announces June PRACTICE! New Ongoing Series PERFORMANCE!, Twelve Hour Maze Benefit, and New Free Download!

Diamond Terrifier’s debut full-length, Kill the Self That Wants To Kill Yourself, due out on Northern Spy Records on August 14th, is approaching in a hurry. Produced by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear, the record is “bananas!” as Sam Hillmer is fond of saying, and we can’t wait to hear it!

Diamond Terrifier (aka Sam Hillmer) continues to host the PRACTICE! series every Tuesday at Zebulon. This month features performances by Sleepy Doug Shaw, Mick Barr, Janka Nabay, Charlie Looker, and many more. Practice! is always awesome because it is perfect!

In addition to PRACTICE! acting as his DJ persona, the Oracle, Sam Hillmer debuts a new series called PERFORMANCE! hitting every Thursday at La Sala in Brooklyn. PERFORMANCE! is a weekly DJ based night co-presented by The Oracle’s theocratic partner Lord Easy! Together they conjure a deeply un-puritanical, non-western mash up of tropical bass, dub, bounce, juke etc… While most time is reserved for DJs, there are two live performances as well. Every month one band will be in residence, occupying the midnight time slot each Thursday. Additionally there will be a different opener at 10pm. June brings Guardian Alien as residents. Cut through confusion, cut through guilt, and cut rugz at PERFORMANCE!
